Overview
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter (23050) to support F-15 Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot (OID) level maintenance at Seymour Johnson AFB. The Aircraft Painter will play a critical role in corrosion control, refinishing, and full paint operations to ensure F-15 aircraft remain fully mission capable.
This position is part of a contract supporting the 4th Fighter Wing, requiring depot-level maintenance, operational-level inspections, and paint operations. Work will be performed in government facilities, with potential travel to TDY locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled painting, refinishing, and corrosion control on F-15 aircraft, Aircraft Maintenance Equipment (AME), and conformal fuel tanks.
- Conduct touch-ups, scuff sanding, masking, primer application, and full aircraft painting in compliance with USAF directives and technical data.
- Prepare surfaces for paint by removing old coatings, sanding, smoothing, and applying surface treatments.
- Apply paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other coatings using spray guns, rollers, and brushes.
- Mask and stencil insignia, numbers, and lettering on aircraft surfaces.
- Document all maintenance actions using official logs, forms, and electronic records.
- Support concurrent aircraft, AGE/SE, and back shop workloads per COR-directed priorities.
- Assist with corrosion control, inspections, and general aircraft maintenance support when required.
