We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Production/Manufacturing Technician to join our team focused on the electro-mechanical assembly of drones. This role requires specialized skills in PCBA assembly, electronic potting, and adhering to strict manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks independently, using schematics, drawings, and instructions.
• Assemble and test avionics components, including PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, and integrated modules.
• Apply precision adhesives and bonding techniques.
• Provide real-time design and assembly feedback to Manufacturing and Quality teams, resolving build issues through proper channels.
• Follow detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions and strict safety procedures.
• Meet aggressive deadlines and flexibly shift priorities across multiple projects.
• Record and update data as needed.

• Mechanical PCBA assembly experience.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, and drills.
• Ability to read and follow basic SOPs and non-technical instructions.
• Experience with cable and harness routing and electronic potting processes.
• Experience in bonding composites, including carbon fiber and epoxies.
• Basic computer skills (MacOS or Microsoft).
• Fabrication or assembly experience with sheet metal and tube assemblies.
• Forklift or rigging experience for moving heavy objects.

• 2-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical or manufacturing assembly in a production environment.
• Experience in assembling avionics components such as PCB assemblies and cable harnesses.
• Ability to read diagrams and blueprints.
• Soldering skills are nice to have.
• Great problem-solving skills, good judgment, and proactivity.
• Strong attention to detail.

Work Environment

The role is based in our South San Francisco facility within the Manufacturing team. The warehouse is divided into four areas: the front office, Nest (assembling the recovery system, launch system, and battery device), Vehicles (assembling the drone body and composite work of wing structure), and logistics. Each team comprises 3 to 4 assemblers and a team lead.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
