As a Planning and Development Officer, you will lead, develop, manage and improve the divisions Cargo Planning & Development as well as Quality Management Systems (QMS) activities as the Quality Management Representative (QMR) to eswtablish and enhance DNATA Cargo leadership in World-wide Total Logistics services through achieving its long, medium and short term Business as well as Quality strategic objectives. Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers working on implementation, monitoring and improving sections Planning & Development initiatives in the function in line with the Divisions Business objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, conceptualize, develop and facilitate various Planning & Development strategies and initiatives for the Division in terms of Business analysis, Business Process Improvement & Re-engineering, Total Quality Management, Automation and New Product/Project development, in all the Business Units, to achieve successfully short, medium and long term growth plans in line with the Divisions Business objectives.
- Conceptualize and facilitate education and implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) for all the Business Units to periodically measure quality levels and performance standards, to recommend and facilitate improvement initiatives in order to improve and sustain the Divisions existing productivity levels and profitability.
- Facilitate all the Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environment Management Systems (EMS) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives across the Division in all the Business Units to enable the Division to achieve and sustain world class quality and environmental standards.
- Provide intellectual guidance and facilitation support in all the internal diagnostic studies and industry environment scanning in order to identify, implement and enhance world class operational standards and Benchspans.
- Facilitate plan, evaluation, implementation and monitoring of all the automation, new products/projects and international franchise system initiatives for the Division in order to achieve successful implementation of expansion plans.
- Plan, develop and lead a tam of Industrial Engineers for the function to achieve the functions strategies and objectives in line with the Divisions business objectives.
- Interact and influence all the Business Unit and functional heads in implementation of all the functions key activities in order to generate and enhance their support & ownership in improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate identification & developing critical contacts with industry experts, consultants, academicians, practicing industry managers, etc. And maintaining long term relations in order to understand, evaluate and implement various world class standards and emerging industry trends in the industry.
- Lead and facilitate the forecasting & planning of the following for all the Business Units to support the Divisions annual budgeting process:
Manpower
Equipment
Revenue
Expenditure
QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:
- 3+ years experience in Business Management in the fields related to Total Quality Management, Business analysis & planning, Project evaluation & management, budgeting.
- New product implementation, preferably in a large scale Logistics operational environment.
- Very strong techno-commercial skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Planning and leadership orientation.
- Strong financial skills
- Thorough knowledge of standard office management software such as MS office etc.
