What are your contributions to the team?
- Maintain a structure of corporate entities worldwide and the corporate entities database
- Draft corporate documents and coordinate various signatures
- Assist with the preparation of annual continuous disclosure documents
- Assist with corporate restructuring activities such as incorporations, liquidations, mergers, dividends and capitals contributions
- Assist other members of the Corporate Legal Affairs team in various special projects
- Coordinate with our transfer agent
- Attend to the notarization and legalization of documents required for regulatory filings in foreign jurisdictions
- Attend to TSX and SEDI filings and various regulatory filings
- Assist other company’s departments with various needs (Treasury, Tax, Pension, etc.)
How to thrive in this role?
- You have obtained a diploma in paralegal studies from a recognized school in Quebec, Canada
- You have a good knowledge of corporate and securities laws
- You have accumulated at least 5 years of experience in a similar position in a corporation or a law firm
- You can manage competing priorities in parallel
- You are fully bilingual (English and French) and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- You demonstrate strong ability to work as part of an integrated team
- You show discretion and work in complete confidentiality
- You demonstrate sound judgement, act with tact and courtesy
- You work well autonomously and show initiatives
- You are familiar with most computer tools usually used in similar functions (e.g. Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power Point, etc.)
