Job Summary:

The Parts Department Manager drives operational excellence in aviation maintenance support by overseeing all aspects of parts procurement, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role ensures seamless parts operations across purchasing, receiving, shipping, and inventory control while maintaining strict adherence to FAA regulations and company standards. Youll lead vendor relationships, optimize inventory systems, and support maintenance operations to keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently.

Core Schedule:

•          Day Shift: Monday through Friday (In-Office)
•          Evening/weekend hours may be required for various events and initiatives

Compensation:

•          Base Salary of $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 (annualized), paid bi-weekly
•          This position is classified as FLSA Exempt

Day in the Life: 

As Parts Department Manager at Jet Access, youll orchestrate the complex logistics that keep our aviation operations running smoothly while building strategic vendor partnerships. Heres what your role encompasses:

Parts Procurement & Vendor Management

•          Lead purchasing operations for all aviation parts including avionics, airframe, and engine components
•          Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal cost management
•          Manage procurement of outsourced services and specialized equipment
•          Issue, amend, and track purchase orders while maintaining accurate documentation
•          Approve invoices for parts and outside services ensuring accuracy and compliance
•          Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and OEMs

Inventory Operations & Control

•          Oversee comprehensive inventory management including cycle counting, perpetual inventory, and reconciliation processes
•          Manage and control parts inventory levels, stock rotation, and reorder points
•          Coordinate shipping, receiving, and tracking of all parts and materials
•          Maintain organized parts department and warehouse facilities
•          Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and core management programs
•          Support other departments with parts-related technical expertise and guidance

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

•          Ensure full compliance with FAA regulations and company policies for parts departments of repair stations
•          Create, maintain, and file all required parts department documentation
•          Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory inspections
•          Support maintenance operations with parts sourcing and technical documentation
•          Oversee tool crib management and equipment control systems
•          Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success

What will make you successful:

Required Skills & Experience:

•          High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in aviation, business, or related field preferred
•          Minimum 5+ years of experience in aviation parts management or similar procurement role
•          Demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations pertaining to parts and repair station operations
•          Experience with aviation parts identification, documentation, and certification requirements
•          Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills
•          Strong understanding of inventory management systems and purchasing processes
•          Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•          Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships
•          Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
•          Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•          Must pass background checks and pre-employment screening

•          Previous experience in aviation maintenance or MRO environment
•          Familiarity with aviation management software and inventory systems
