Job Summary:
The Aircraft Project Manager ensures efficient, safe, and on-budget completion of aircraft maintenance projects while serving as the critical liaison between maintenance teams, suppliers, clients, and regulatory authorities. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to deliver maintenance projects that meet the highest standards of quality and safety while maintaining operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
Core Schedule:
- Day Shift: Monday through Friday (In-Office)
- Evening/weekend hours may be required for various events and initiatives
Compensation:
- Base Salary of $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 (annualized), paid bi-weekly
- This position is classified as FLSA Exempt
Day in the Life:
As an Aircraft Project Manager at Jet Access, youll orchestrate complex maintenance projects while ensuring seamless coordination across teams and exceptional client service. Heres what your role encompasses:
Project Leadership & Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee aircraft maintenance projects from initiation through completion
- Allocate daily manpower and assign specific tasks to maintenance personnel based on project priorities and timelines
- Serve as primary liaison between departments, ensuring effective communication across all teams
- Coordinate shift turnover with the Director of Maintenance and personnel working across multiple shifts
- Prepare comprehensive project induction plans for client aircraft arrivals
Project Communication & Client Experience
- Maintain comprehensive project oversight with focus on delivering exceptional client experiences throughout maintenance lifecycle
- Provide timely, proactive updates on work scope changes, approved squawks, and project milestones to clients and internal teams
- Compile and present detailed project status reports including financial performance, completion timelines, and client satisfaction metrics
- Ensure maintenance personnel perform quality work that exceeds client expectations and meets regulatory standards
- Conduct post-project reviews with clients and maintain ongoing relationships for feedback, continuous improvement, and future opportunities
Vendor & Resource Management
- Initiate and coordinate purchase orders for stock with Parts Associates as required
- Effectively manage relationships with external vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation
- Monitor project schedules, resources, and budgets to maintain operational efficiency
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and safety protocols throughout all maintenance activities
- Complete special projects and initiatives as needed, embracing opportunities to contribute to Jet Accesss continued growth and success

What will make you successful:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) Certificate required
- Associates degree in aviation maintenance, aeronautical technology, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience in Part 145 certificated repair station environment
- Demonstrated experience with aircraft maintenance project management in certificated repair station operations
- Thorough knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations, quality systems, and compliance requirements
- Experience with aircraft maintenance tracking systems, work order management, and regulatory documentation
- Proven ability to manage Part 145 maintenance projects including heavy checks, modifications, and repairs
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices for mid-size to large corporate jets preferred
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Products and aviation maintenance management software
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent Part 145 projects
- Excellent communication skills with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Valid state drivers license and ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Must successfully pass background check and pre-employment screening

Additional Qualities That Will Make You Successful:
- Project management certification (PMP) or similar credentials
- Experience with Part 145 quality control systems and audit processes
- Background with Inspection Authorization (IA) or progressive inspection programs
- Knowledge of aircraft modification and STC installation processes
- Experience managing vendor relationships for specialized aviation services and parts procurement
- Familiarity with OEM maintenance planning documents and service bulletins
- Proven track record of delivering Part 145 projects on time and within regulatory compliance
- Understanding of corporate aircraft utilization patterns and maintenance scheduling optimization
- Ability to interpret complex maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies in certificated maintenance environments
- Strong financial acumen with aviation maintenance budget management experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with high-net-worth aircraft owners
