2026 Internship - Project Manager - Defense
Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Interns will work directly with the Product/Program Manager and Director for programs in support of the program and aircraft. Assist with the coordination of proposals, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs along with negotiation and administration costs. Support internal and external customers, along with suppliers to improve the overall performance of the product.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn how to interface with customers, subcontractors, and supplier counterparts regarding project on a daily basis
Assist with the planning and execution of project(s) according to established milestones and schedule to meet contract obligations
Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally
Participate in and provide metrics and briefs to various levels of management as required
Prepare labor and material bid estimates for project execution
Assist with the project cost versus budget and be accountable for project profit/loss
Produce deliverables as required by the contract
Manage risk to projects for company and customer with the support of leadership
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing Bachelors degree in Business Management, Aviation, Aircraft Management, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional and diplomatic demeanor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Customer experience required
Outstanding computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
