Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

Parker Lord’s Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
Essential Job Functions
Basic repair abilities in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronic, steam systems, plumbing, and HVAC
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and wiring with some direction
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems (water, chemical, hydraulic, and pneumatic)
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
Installs, maintains, and repairs machining equipment, transfer presses, process lines, and other general facility and production equipment with some direction
Cleans, inspects, and lubricates shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery as part of assigned PM schedules
Read and interpret basic equipment operating instructions to perform repair
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to perform necessary repairs and adjustments
Actively participates in LEAN projects and activities
Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
Other assignments as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum of 2 years of machine repair, electrical or general maintenance experience
3-5 years of machine repair, electrical and general maintenance experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information
Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook
Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
Experience with FANUC and Siemens controls preferred
