The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia has an opportunity for a Maintenance Operations - Fleet Planner to join our Operations Team on the Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program for the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler platforms.
In this fast-paced environment characterised by diverse daily challenges that are crucial in ensuring the operational readiness and strategic planning of the RAAF F/A-18F and EA-18G fleets. The Fleet Planner is highly motivated and detail-oriented and responsible for the Integrated Maintenance Schedule, modifications, conducting what if analyses all while maintaining a Strategic mindset. In this role you will require excellence in stakeholder communication as well as the ability to utilise your skills and knowledge to collaborate across the enterprise making customer priorities ours while shaping the future.
This role will be suitable for someone with an exceptional amount of autonomy, adaptability and ability to focus strategically and pivot tactically to ensure capability outcomes are achieved daily.
This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley
As a Fleet Planner your daily responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Fleet Plan / Integrated Maintenance Forecast and Schedule management
- Facilitate Fleet Planning Working group and associate Forums / Working Groups
- Scheduling, Coordination and Scope Definition for Scheduled Maintenance, Modifications, Lifed Items and DLM activities
- Fleet metrics development, review and reporting
- Development of ‘what-if scenarios for tactical and strategic considerations
- Monitoring of all scheduled/unscheduled arisings effecting F/A-18F and EA-18G fleet availability in support of Enterprise outcomes
- Ensure the Sustainment Support System is informed of Fleet Priorities
- Coordination of ad hoc fleet activities.
Experience/Qualifications
- Working knowledge and technical experience within Part 145 and CAMO environments
- Comprehensive understanding Defence Aviation Regulatory framework
- Understanding of Project Management and Engineering Principles
- Experience building and sustaining collaborative relationships in a matrix environment that consists of both internal and external stakeholders (Defence and Civilian)
- Experience operating within an integrated team, supporting projects, employee development and resourcing, processes and tools
- Appreciation of the defence logistical system
- Experience working within a Defence Environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools
- Understanding of the F/A-18F and EA-18G platforms - Desirable
