POSITION SUMMARY:
The Helicopter Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing FlightCare’s helicopters according to Federal Aviation Authority and FlightCare Standards. The primary aircraft shall be kept in a constant state of readiness for emergency missions.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Factory training in aircraft type AND three years of experience as a helicopter mechanic OR five years of experience as a helicopter mechanic
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- FAA Airframe and Power plant Certificate (tracked by the dept)
- Current California Driver’s License
- Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Demonstrates technical competence. Must work smoothly with FlightCare personnel as well as other hospital employees. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
