PRIMARY DUTY:
Perform aircraft inspections, install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical or avionics systems on customer aircraft. Troubleshoot and repair various electrical issues on customer aircraft.
Assist in the shop with any general maintenance tasks as needed. Source, acquire, track parts & supplies, and help maintain the condition and organization of the shop facility, building, and grounds as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Troubleshoot and research as necessary to complete maintenance, electrical, avionic tasks as assigned by shop coordinator, lead technician, or company owners.
- Perform in-depth publication research such as completion drawings, wiring schematics, AMM, EMM and CMM research, etc.
- Perform preparatory work for maintenance activities, including gathering equipment, materials, and supplies, loading and unloading materials, and laying out materials and equipment for projects
- Acquire certain technical publications required by technicians.
- Identify, order and track parts based on job needs. Work with the maintenance coordinator to maintain inventories and ship outgoing parts as necessary.
- Assist with and perform maintenance tracking program updates for maintenance completed.
- Assist with and perform aircraft database updates.
- Assist other technicians on the floor as necessary with various tasks, including general maintenance, cleaning, aircraft stocking, and pre-flights.
- Perform routine hangar preventive maintenance to ensure that machines and equipment continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
- Perform a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including posting general notices, pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, planting, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture.
- Perform cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed.
- Assist with hiring and other HR responsibilities for the maintenance organization, if needed.
- Setup meeting areas for meetings and events.
- Assist with safety training as necessary.
- Report any issues or problems that may arise to the Administrator.
- Comply with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
- Assist families and other visitors as needed.
- Attend in-services and other required meetings.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
