Summary:
Perform composite part manufacturing tasks-including lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and repair-in a production environment.
Manufacture composite aircraft parts to meet specifications in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Competencies during Employee Effectiveness Review.
Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations.
Use special tools and precision measuring devices (6" scale, 1" micrometer, 6" dial caliper).
Inspect work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection.
Maintain accurate logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI).
Maintain a clean and organized work area; support FOD and 5S programs; follow all safety regulations.
Participate in Lean initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of composite manufacturing experience.
Ability to work with composite resins and materials.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, including 6" scale.
Basic computer skills required.
Must meet physical requirements of the position.
Must be able to work any shift.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
