We are currently seeking an Internal QMS Auditor to join our team. This is a remote* role based in the UK.
What you will do:
Audit Planning & Coordination:
Collaborate with site leadership and functional teams to define audit scope, objectives, and timelines
Assist in the development of the annual internal audit schedule and ensure alignment with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements
Audit Execution:
Perform internal quality audits in accordance with AS9100, AS9110, and AS9120 standards
Serve as Lead Auditor or Team Auditor depending on audit scope and complexity
Conduct opening meetings, daily report-outs, and closing meetings with site and functional leadership
Identify and document non-conformities, opportunities for improvement, and best practices during audits
Audit Reporting & Documentation:
Collect and organise audit evidence and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Input all audit findings into the ETQ system (or other QMS software tools)
Prepare and distribute detailed Audit Reports post-audit, ensuring clarity and actionable findings
Corrective Action Management:
Issue Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for identified non-conformities
Track and monitor the progress and effectiveness of corrective actions to closure
Support sites in root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action development, and follow-up verification
Stakeholder Support & Improvement:
Act as a point of contact for site questions and audit preparation support
Provide guidance on compliance with QMS standards and audit readiness
Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to enhance quality and audit performance

Qualifications & Experience you must have:
Prior relevant experience in quality assurance/auditing within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
Certified or trained as an Internal or Lead Auditor for AS9100, AS9110, or AS9120
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS91XX standards
Experience using ETQ or other electronic quality management systems
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an audit team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to handle multiple audits/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Professionalism and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience we prefer:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, Aerospace, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience auditing or working in AS9110-certified Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) environments
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NADCAP, FAA Part 145, or DoD-specific quality requirements
Prior experience with customer-specific audit standards (e.g., Boeing D6-82479, Lockheed Martin QX requirements, etc.)
Certification or training in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, or similar tools for audit data analysis and reporting
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar professional certifications
Experience contributing to or leading internal quality improvement initiatives based on audit findings
Working Environment & Travel:
Travel to internal company sites (up to 65), mainly in Europe
Occasional extended hours to meet audit requirements
Expectation to work beyond current site and support sites within assigned region
