Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 4 or 5) to join our Interiors Structures Stress Team based in Long Beach, CA.
As a Structural Analysis engineer, you possess a solid understanding of airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic and/or composite structures. You will ensure the airplane has sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its operational life. Additionally. you ensure the airplane structure meets all other design requirements including fail-safety, durability and damage tolerance where applicable. You will require to support occasional domestic travel to support our customers.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior level (level 4 or 5) Structural Analysis Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the products environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
Works under minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in Engineering, including Mechanical, Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
5+ years of experience with aircraft stress/structural analysis.
5+ years of experience in structural analysis methods and tools such as Finite Element Analysis.
5+ years of experience with hand (classical) structural analysis.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Hypermesh, Abaqus CAE, PATRAN, and/or NASTRAN.
Experience with hand calculation stress analysis for aircraft interiors.
Experience validating or verifying finite element model results.
Experience working with or showing compliance to FAA and EASA regulations.
Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills.

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $124,1000 - $167,900
Summary pay range for Senior (Level 5): $146,200 - $197,800
