Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Quality Engineer (Level 4) to join our Interiors Responsibility Center (IRCSC) Quality Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift.
The selected candidate will work with the Boeing Quality Engineering team to support APQP verification and acceptance activity. This position reports to a first-line manager. Position Responsibilities
Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
Provides Quality interpretation of requirements
Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements
Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances
Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances
Performs bench spaning and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
3+ years of experience developing/managing metrics and root cause corrective actions (RCCA)
3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications, (CQA-Certified Quality Auditor); (CQE-Certified Quality Engineer); (CQT-Certified Quality Technician)
1+ years of experience in the application / deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or AS9145 within organizations
Lean Six Sigma certification
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range: $108,800-$147,200
