JOB SUMMARY:
Textron Aviation is currently seeking individuals who are passionate about utilizing and expanding their knowledge in manufacturing and design. As an intern you will be part of a highly motivated team, contributing to the development of aircraft design, engineering documentation, and the enhancement of component and assembly quality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Over the years, interns have successfully completed a range of impactful projects. These projects have involved tasks such as exploring alternative materials for flap control systems, improving oxygen systems, enhancing the quality of wing leading edges, optimizing composite engine cowling doors, and refining inspection methods for nose landing gear doors.
As a Product Design Improvement Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts from various disciplines, including aircraft structure and systems, engineering data management, Textron India Private Limited (TIPL), and structural integrity. This diverse exposure will allow you to gain valuable insights and broaden your skill set.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:
Aerospace Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Other related field
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Collaborates and easily gets along in team-based environments
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent organizational skills
Computer Proficiency (MS Office, CAD, etc.)
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
