How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Working in a team environment, Simulator Support co-ops design and perform hardware and software modifications to Deltas fleet of flight training devices/simulators, ensuring training devices meet FAA requirements, and pilot training needs. Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks): Reports to Delta’s manager of simulator engineering.Integrates software modifications into flight training devices/simulators in order to maintain commonality with Delta’s fleet of aircraft.Designs hardware modifications of the training devices per simulator and aircraft manufacturers’ service bulletins.Assist with acceptance testing of new flight training devices/simulators, and with the annual FAA requalification of the devices.Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. This position is intended to provide you with educational, and professional work experience to prepare you for the workforce.This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at the same time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:Summer 2026 - 1st rotationSpring 2027 - 2nd rotationFall 2027 - 3rd rotationWorking towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related discipline. Experience with software editing, code debugging, and revision control using various computer platforms and operating systems. Strong technical, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills, and be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Must perform with a high level of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written skills.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
