Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security Division (BDS) Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking an Experienced Human Resources Generalist to join the HR team in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive team aimed at shaping the future of HR at Boeing and drive business value for Space Intelligence Weapons Systems (SIWS).
We are looking for a generalist who will serve as a point of contact for manufacturing teammates that need day-to-day HR support. This position is ideal for someone who has strong operational HR experience, particularly in production, manufacturing, and safety sensitive environments with salaried and/or union populations. As a key member of the HR Team, you will gain a strong understanding of the business imperatives of the manufacturing function to unleash the power of our talent across the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide visible, on the floor HR presence where our employees work to enable real-time engagement and solutions
Provide consultation and coaching to employees at all levels (management to non-management) on HR practices and processes
Partner with business leaders, ethics and/or corporate investigations to resolve workplace concerns, support the development and delivery of corrective actions, performance improvement and development plans
Build and maintain strong partnerships with Manufacturing and Quality executives and their leadership teams to deliver integrated HR initiatives and solutions
Partner across broader HR team and with Labor Relations partners to deliver high quality, seamlessly integrated operational HR support to the business
Aid in supporting the delivery of key HR processes (performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, etc.)
Utilize conflict resolution techniques and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness of support provided
Provide support for multiple shifts
Working Conditions:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Human Resources
3+ years of experience executing strategies and managing associated projects
3+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
3+ years of experience partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders
Experience working with labor unions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Human Resources certification(s)
3+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Experience problem-solving, analyzing data and utilizing various HR tools and systems
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Shift:
This role will primarily support 1st shift but will need to also support 2nd shift hours

Summary pay range: $81,600 - $120,000
