Apprentice – Strategy & Planning Analyst (Cargo)

Job Description:

Salary: 26,255

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours

Location: VHQ, Crawley, hybrid 2 days a week and 1 day a week in Heathrow

Contract: Fixed Term Contract 24 months

Youll be at the heart of how we understand our spanets, support strategic decisions, and help drive growth across our global cargo operation. This is more than just an entry-level role — it’s a launchpad into the world of commercial strategy, analytics, and aviation.

Day to day

Support the delivery of data-led insights to shape commercial cargo decisions
Help forecast revenue performance across routes, regions and key customers
Create tools, dashboards and reports to make data accessible and actionable
Analyse industry trends, macroeconomic drivers and competitive landscapes
Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales, Operations, and Contact Centre teams
Contribute to the development of predictive models and KPI frameworks
Work on projects that assess new opportunities or optimise existing practices
Continuously evolve data workflows and propose enhancements to systems

About you

Curious, analytical, and eager to understand the “why” behind the numbers
Enjoy solving problems and have strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with numbers
Collaborative and enjoy working as part of a team
Confident communicating with a range of audiences
Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
Familiar with Excel and open to learning tools like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, SQL
Ideally educated to GCSE level in a numerical field
Passionate about data, delivering insights, logistics, or all the above!
