Purpose: The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing and interpreting data. You will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to derive valuable insights and drive informed decision-making processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop analytical solutions, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. The Data Analyst has a strong background in statistics, proficiency in database querying and manipulation, programming knowledge, and experience in data visualization tools. The ideal Data Analyst will possess a blend of technical proficiency, analytical acumen, and product management skills to transform data into action.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Utilize Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation tasks.
• Stay up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and best practices in data analysis and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Proficiency in using REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Document and maintain enterprise-wide data catalog.
• Create informative and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and presentations using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib or Plotly.
• Knowledge of product management and product development concepts and practices.
• Monitor report performance and key report metrics to drive the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with managers across different departments to understand their analytical needs and drive the delivery of solutions.
• Monitor and manage reports to ensure accuracy and recency.
• Design and monitor key performance metrics across departments.
• Translate business problems into analytical projects.
• Interpret data analysis results and provide actionable insights to support business objectives and decision-making processes.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
• Analyze customer behavior data to understand customer preferences, pain points, and opportunities for revenue enhancement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or related field.
• High proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Working knowledge of data pipeline tools such as Azure Data Factory.
• Highly proficient in building data visualizations in Power BI.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, techniques, and related tools like sklearn and pycaret.
• Understands fundamental mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong business acumen and ability to articulate complex concepts in plain English.
• Analytical aptitude with strong strategic thinking – operates both tactically to deliver projects and strategically to design the data estate for the future.
• Strives to understand and resolve the needs of business partners and acts as a go-to problem-solver.
• Must be able to navigate a dynamic, fast paced environment with minimal direction, and deliver effective recommendations & results under tight timelines.
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.

• Experience with a startup or high-growth company, preferably within an airline.
• Experience with marketing and ecommerce data.
