The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the Companys financial records and reporting. This role performs and reviews accounting activities including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statement preparation, fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting, and month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant analyzes financial data, investigates variances, supports internal and external audits, and helps maintain compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and company policies. Working closely with operations, management, and cross-functional teams, this position contributes to process improvements, strengthens internal controls, and supports informed business decision-making.
Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support accurate monthly close processes
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including cash, AR, AR, inventory, & fixed assets
Prepare and monitor capital expenditure requests and related documentation
Serve as a resource for staff, including AP, AR, and other accounting personnel by providing guidance on accounting policies and procedures
Assist with internal and external audit preparation
Support Controller and management team with special projects as assigned
